great views, lots of sunshine and skiing for all
The charming village of Villars is located on a sunny plateau with stunning views of the surrounding mountains, low level chalets and a bustling centre with modern amenities. The rack and pinion railway winds its way through the resort and up to the ski area which is linked to neighbouring Les Diablerets.
Villars is a cosy village with a few lively bars such as Murphy's and late night El Gringo's.

Geneva 1 hr 40 mins. Transfers on Saturday are by bus, minibus or train. For short breaks or transfers on other days, transfers are by train.
Villars is an excellent choice for beginners, with gentle nursery slopes by the resort and also at the top of the Bretaye, reached by the scenic mountain railway. The ski schools are excellent and will ensure you are soon onto higher, gentle pistes.
Intermediate skiers will really enjoy the wealth of excellent blue and red runs throughout the the linked Alpes Vaudoise network. Try the reds and blues from the top of Le Mazots.
There is plenty of high mileage skiing in the whole area as well as challenging long runs. On the Glacier des Diablerets, enjoy the 10km red run down the Combe d'Audon.
The area has become more and more associated with snowboarding over the last few years. It has had a lot of coverage in magazines such as Onboard due to Diableret's year round pipe and park. There is some superb freeriding in the backcountry - hire an off-piste guide to fully exploit it. In early April, Villars hosts 'Snowbombing' - the biggest music and snowboard festival in the Alps.
